Dinner & Discussion | Nakisha Nathan, from the Sierra Club, talked to us about her path to becoming a community organizer. She spoke about Sierra Club’s recognition of the need for a transition that specifically considers equity and environmental justice. She then answered questions about her life and her work.

We then shifted gears to discuss the urban/rural divide in the U.S. We talked about whose responsibility it is to change problematic thinking and why people have vastly different understandings of the world depending on their upbringing and a variety of other factors.

Went to Museum| We went to a museum on the coast and learned about tsunamis, erosion, fishing, sea creatures, and more! Much fun was had by all, and we saw some weird creatures from the depths.

Went Camping | We then went camping near Beverly Beach. We hung out at the beach, cooked fajitas, and ate a million s’mores. And had tons of fun.
