It’s been four weeks since I started this journey. I wouldn’t exactly say it’s been the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but I could 100% say that it has been rewarding. Anyways, there are a few things that haven’t gone exactly the way I thought they would. For one, there has been much more of a focus on online research than I expected. In hindsight, I probably should have seen that coming given that the project is online after all. There’s also been more meetings than I would have guessed. I do like the extra meetings though. They help me get to know the other group members and ensure that we are all on the same page.
Responding to the challenges the project has given to me has been the most rewarding part of the project so far. When researching, I have had to try and find new ways to use Google and other databases to find private biological reserves and information about them.
It has also been rewarding to learn from the host community and especially about resilience. I have had to learn a lot about the challenges of the biological reserves and their circumstances when researching them.
Anyways, I’m excited for the second half of the project and whatever challenges it holds. I hope it will be just as rewarding as the first half.
