This past week was filled with open houses and introductions. It was so much fun meeting some of the girls who will be participating in Eureka! and I’m already feeling a lot less nervous about starting camp now that I know a little bit more about their personalities. Even though the girls were around middle school age, they had a lot of common interests of art and music with myself and the other DukeEngagers.
I did my first curriculum run-through with a live audience and got a lot of helpful feedback, so I’ve been practicing my presentation using the advice I received. I’m very excited to share it with the campers over the next few weeks and I think it’s really going to be fun for them to build their own websites and be super creative with it. Overall, I’ve had a great time working with the girls inc staff and I’m super excited for what’s to come these next few weeks.
