Coming into DukeEngage I was nervous, I didn’t know anyone in my program and wasn’t sure how I would fit in with the group. Living in a new city would be hard but making new friends would be even harder.
Luckily, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Now more than five weeks in I can safely say that the friendships I’ve made have been one of the best parts of my DukeEngage experience (besides maybe the food). Whether it’s Bachelorette Mondays, playing Mafia, or late night conversations I always find myself enjoying the time we all spend together.
It’s crazy to think that if I hadn’t done DukeEngage I may have never met these amazing people. I look forward to growing these friendships even more in our last three weeks together and back at Duke.
