Carlton Johnson is Neuroscience major and Chemistry minor who is on a pre-med track. He is proud member of the 2020 class and works on Duke’s campus as a Resident Assistant for the Hollows dorm and Research Assistant for the Lenox Baker Pediatric Hospital. He enjoys the arts, exercise and volunteering. He participated in an International Independent DukeEngage in Cartagena, Colombia. While there, his love of volunteering, the arts and exercise were all able to intersect. During the mornings, he volunteered in an asylum for mentally ill and disabled individuals where he cleaned the facilities and fed the patients. During the evenings, he and other volunteers led art and fitness based after-school programs for children in poverty stricken neighborhoods.
