Hello! I am Janelle, a rising junior from Atlanta, Georgia. I am a pre-med student, majoring in psychology. Throughout the summer, I will be interning at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. I work as a counselor at the kid’s culinary camps that are hosted by the museum with a fellow Duke Engager, Josh. I hope to share a love of cooking and an appreciation for the history and ingredients that characterize different dishes with the youth that attend the camp. My work this summer will definitely be exciting!

I am happy to be in the Big Easy! New Orleans is a great city to be in for the summer. Our cohort has constantly found many wonderful things to do; we’ve listened to live music at the Creole Tomato Festival and have enjoyed late night runs to the famous Cafe Du Monde for beignets. I cannot wait to explore more of what this city has to offer.
