The DukeEngage program is more than just a short-term service immersion experience. DukeEngage provides numerous opportunities to connect civic engagement to academic, personal and professional development as both a prospective and returned DukeEngager.
Learn more about how to become a DukeEngage Fellow or SPAC (Student Programming and Advisory Committee) member. Attend DukeEngage Cafes and Brown Bag events. Participate in Culture Nights to learn more about the people and culture of your future DukeEngage site or become an Academy Leader and support and mentor students during the pre-departure DukeEngage Academy.
Finally, if you are interested in a local service placement and would like to develop your skills as a prospective DukeEngage participant or apply your knowledge locally after your DukeEngage service experience, please check out the opportunities at the Duke Center for Civic Engagement-Durham Programs.
If you have campus programming ideas or suggestions, please contact Cloe Liparini at 919.660.3227.
