The Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) recently announced the winners of the 2012 fieldwork photo contest. Each year, the DGHI sponsors the contest for students to showcase their fieldwork through compelling photography that tells a global health story. In addition to a panel of judges, this marks the first year DGHI has incorporated online voting. The first annual People’s Choice award goes to Carl Lawrence, a global health certificate student who completed summer fieldwork in Uganda through DukeEngage.  Learn more about the fieldwork photo contest and see images here.

Be sure to check out all the student-written summer blogs here.
