Duke Crownpoint on Twitter!

Posted by Priya Bhat on 2009-06-05

Hey guys!  You may (or may not, or just may hope not, as the case may be) be thinking "when is a Duke Engage project going to start tweeting?"

In a culture of instancy, we thought 'what better way to give our friends, family, and admirers (we know you're out there) instant updates on all of our adventures?' As internet connection is pretty scarce, and blogging is somewhat sluggish, on an extremely bumpy ride back from Chaco Canyon, one of our group members posed a solution.  And so, in 140 characters or less, in supplement to our blog, we introduce to you the Duke in Crownpoint Twitter: www.twitter.com/dukecrownpoint.

You know you want to follow.

Arrival in Crownpoint

Posted by Priya Bhat on 2009-06-04

Hi all!  After several airplanes delays and much driving, our group arrived in Crownpoint, New Mexico two days ago.  Internet access has been somewhat limited so we haven't gotten a chance to do a lot of blogging yet, but we have filled our days by taking trips from where we are staying at Mariano Lake Elementary School to Gallup and Crownpoint, enjoying local food and meeting people to prepare for our program.  This morning we are meeting several more individuals at the Crownpoint campus of Dine Later this afternoon we plan to take a short hike in Chaco Canyon, and this weekend we are all looking forward to experiencing sheep-shearing in Crystal, New Mexico.  That's it for now, but we will update more in the coming days!
