A Direction in Pronunciation: Impressions, Conversation, and GOOD NEWS!
To those unfamiliar with the region, one might be tempted to pronounce “Tucson” with two harsh syllables of “Tuck” and “Son”. But here out in the South western desert, looks can be especially deceiving. Tucson is actually pronounced with a flat owlish hoot of “Too” and then elongated by a grander royal “Sawn”.
